Hurricane Evacuation!

Sept 20, 2005 - Garth boards up the windows and we evacuate a predicted Cat 5 storm - Hurricane Rita. Ruth and Ernst to the rescue!

Abby takes her first plane trip at 4 weeks (!) and Garth, Annie and Delilah evacuate by car. It only takes then 48 hours to drive to Santa Fe!

Why did we leave this place?

Back to Santa Fe we go in December for Susie, Victor and Carson's Christmas party. Abby is really excited about her outfit as you can see. She likes Victor...

First two weeks...

The second night we were at home there was a huge electrical storm. The thunder and lightning did not wake Abby. However when the power went out and it was as quiet as can be....waahh.... We learned how to heat milk in a power outage....

Then Annie arrives.... to the rescue....

Where to Begin?

We begin August 15th, 2005 at about 4 AM. The Doctor was called, the bag was packed and Dad-to-be ran every red light between W 17th and the Med Center.

By 8:41 AM - Here she is - ABBY! 5 lb 7 1/2 oz, 18 inches long!
