Sunny Days

Zoe is getting very mobile. She has started to walk by herself - she can manage about a dozen steps with no problem. Saturday we went to the park for Zoe to see the ducks. She can now say three words: "Cat", "nana" (banana) and "duck"....

Zoe and mum walked by the lake and enjoyed the birds.

A nice quiet weekend...

Even the butterflies were enjoying the lovely cool weather. They even let Abby and Zoe touch them - more than once......

Cool weather at last

After heat index of 100 and 100% humidity this past week - we finally woke to cool temperatures - Not that it will last.....

Zoe inspected the geraniums....

And Dad put together the bike trailer that's been in the garage... how exciting!

August also brought yard work - we cut down the enormous bottle brush and did some tidying in the front....

Watch out for this guy. He was 3.5 inches - a sizeable fellow with a nasty nip no doubt. Garth gloved up and caught this big boy while Sarah had an extremely large glass of wine to calm her nerves. We're going to have it preserved and sent to Elaine since she shares sarah's enthusiasm for spiders.

Did someone say "Rockstar"? Now maybe that's more in line with the college savings....
